Some of the boldest, most genuine strokes I've ever created, painted in the spur of a moment simply to "move the painting forward". I thought I'd eventually cover up the black marks, but when I stepped back and felt the raw energy I felt like a confident kid with a crayon. Of course I ultimately refined the spaces inside and outside the marks, leaving me with a feeling that I can be anyone I want to be. But the truth is I wouldn't want to be anyone else. I'd still be me, I'd just choose a childlike version of myself to move through life with authenticity and spontaneity, oblivious to judgement with just enough maturity to refine it to an art. Who would you be?
Note: Sides are painted so art is ready to hang but due to thin profile, framing may be preferred.
