My art often reveals things I didn’t set out to discover. This piece started w/ the “less is more” philosophy - a study in minimalism w/ a limited palette and a return to one of my earliest (and more simplistic) blind drawings. The lonely composition begged for another face, which I thought was a cry for aesthetic balance. But eventually I realized that second face was symbolic of recent collaborations with other artists and the power that lies beyond solitude — Alone we can do a little, but together we can do so much more. It’s true in art and in life. Grab a friend and be better together.
